WP220450 was originally destined to be a stud sire at Wiringa Park. He was privately sold to Lachlan Merinos in 2023 at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo with Wiringa Park retaining a 50% semen share.
We have been thrilled with the influence WP 220450 King Charles has had across Australia. He is vindicated by the way he has bred extremely well at a number of studs across four different states in Australia. King Charles (220450) was also entered in the Turretfield Research Centre sire evaluation trial in South Australia and again proved his worth. He was the number one ranked sire in all four indexes including fine wool, wool production, sustainable Merino and Merino lamb.His clean fleece weight was 0.4 above the average. Also pleasing was the fact he had one of the lowest YBRWR scores. His visual classing ratio of tops to culls was outstanding breeding 34% top and -18 culls.
King Charles is in the top 5% in Australia for both FW 208.18, WP 213.75 and SM 161.07 and has the rare qualities of positive YEMD 0.32, YCFW 47.49 and YFD -0.76.

Never before have we had so much confidence in a young ram as we have in WP240742, using him as a ram lamb at Wiringa Park in AI and ET programs in 2025. He is sired by Glenlea Park 220614 and his dam 220507 was classed as elite and is possibly the best WP200037 Prince Phillip ewe we have bred and has produced top end 2024 drop progeny out of two different sires.
WP240742 has the power in his pedigree that makes him extremely potent. He is an absolute class act, structurally very correct on short pasterns, has tremendous barrel and bone, a powerful masculine muzzle that is pure and clean from any pigment and has a clean dry poll.
His skin quality is exceptional, super loose, pliable and soft which is validated in his wool quality. WP240742 carries a well aligned, deeply crimped medium wool that is oozing natural nourishment and lustre. He has a terrific combination of staple length and density that maintains high fleece weight with low micron.
